@ClassicMethod: our new Twitter and Instagram handles

Finding a great social media handle is never easy.

It has to express the character of the project/blog in under fifteen characters.

But it also has to be catchy and easy to remember.

I’ve had a lot of experience in creating social media usernames but finding one for “Franciacorta: the Real Story” proved extremely challenging.

And then, suddenly, it hit me: @ClassicMethod!

Miraculously, I discovered that no one had ever grabbed it.

And so now it is OURS! 🙂

The expression classic method denotes a process for making sparkling wine whereby a base wine is made; it is then re-fermented in bottle; it is then aged on its lees and riddled (i.e., stored at an angle with its neck facing down and regularly turned to ensure that the lees are concentrated in the neck of the bottle); and it is then disgorged of its sediment and bottled before being released.

We’ll be talking a lot here on the finer points of classic method wines.

But in the meantime, please follow us on Twitter and Instagram
