When I first began working with the Franciacorta consortium, I proposed that we augment their marketing approach to reach out to young American wine professionals and Master Sommelier candidates.
They loved the idea and embraced it from the get-go. A year and three months counting, I’m still here and we’ve just launched our 2016 campaign.
But they never abandoned their strategy of positioning Franciacorta as a luxury brand and as a wine associated with fashion, celebrity, and glamor — Italian glamor.
Over the last five years, Franciacorta has become the de facto wine of the Italian glitterati. And there’s hardly a runway or movie premier in Milan that isn’t paired with Franciacorta these days.
The best place to follow the glamorous world of Franciacorta is the consortium’s official Instagram.
Yo, 6,483 followers!

But don’t let our preview stop you: Scrolling through the appellations IG, you might be surprised by the wide array celebrities who love Franciacorta. Fashion designers, models, politicians… they’re all there.
Franciacorta, it’s like sex in a wine glass!
