Franciacorta

Highlights from last week’s blogger and buyer trip

Heartfelt thanks to #TeamClassicMethod and to the fine folks at the Franciacorta consortium for making this such a wonderful and rewarding trip.

Here are some highlights in no particular (or exclusive) order…

mosnel

Giulio Barzanò (center) at Mosnel.

bella-vista

Super tasting with Mattia Vezzola at Bellavista.

ronco-calino

Stellar flight at Ronco Calino.

lantieri

Robiola risotto was superb at Lantieri (where we stayed).

cappuccini

Classic beat risotto at Cappuccini was excellent.

albereta

Hazy but still stunning view of Lake Iseo from L’Albereta.

berlucchi

Tasting with Cristina and Arturo Ziliani was super fun at G. Berlucchi. Everyone loved the wines.

enrico-gatti

The wines spoke for themselves at Enrico Gatti.

marchesine

Andrea at Marchesine is so cool. Wine showed great.

ferghettina

Ferghettina was one of the most surprising and delightful visits of the trip.

borgo-santa-giulia

Nice to end the trip with this lovely crudo from Borgo Santa Giulia.

ricci-curbastro

Gualberto Ricci Curbastro led us on such a great tasting of his family’s wines. If you’ve never visited the farming museum there, it’s definitely worth the price of admission!

Thanks again to everyone for making this such a great trip!
